"How to Cover the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump"

Join us for a most provocative afternoon with Julian Zelizer, professor of history and public affairs at Princeton University, and author In Defense of Partisanship, which challenges the conventional wisdom that intense political partisanship is the source of American democracy's problems. His proposed solutions promise to surprise and intrigue you.

Perhaps counter intuitively, Zelizer argues that a "responsible partisanship" could be a functional way for political parties to compete on policy while still being able to govern.

In all, Zelizer has published some 28 books, many on the American political process. His substack newsletter,  The Long View,  has  14,000 subscribers in its first year. He remains a regular political analyst for CNN and a columnist for Foreign Policy magazine. His op-eds and commentaries have appeared in The New York Times and other news outlets.
